An often overlooked detail when choosing an instant camera is its battery type and life. Depending on how you are going to use your camera it may be a deciding factor.  There are basically four (4) types of batteries:

1. CR2

2. AA

3. Rechargeable

4. Built in (SQ20 only)

While battery life is dependent on how you use your camera the battery life it is drastically different for each battery type.  In general CR batteries perform the best taking around 300 photos before needing to be replaced, followed by the AA and rechargeable Li-ion batteries coming in at around 100 photos.  Below is a list of the cameras and which batteries they use:
