If you are only going to read a couple sentences read these. The Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 (approx. $60USD) is the best entry level Instax camera available. If you are on a budget or buying for a small child this is your camera. If you are willing/able to spend a little more we recommend upgrading to the Mini 70S (as low as $75USD depending on color). It has more features like a tripod mount, LCD readout, timer and manual flash control. If you are looking for the best picture quality the Mini 90 ($115USD) it is the top rated camera. If you decision is based on specific feature like color or timer the differences are noted in our 3 Mini Quick Guide.
The Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 is an entry level instant camera released in April 2017 and a successor to the Mini 8. The Fujifilm Instax cameras come in three (3) different different formats. Please visit our Quick Guide to find the camera right for you. See below for a brief breakdown:
MINI (3.4" x 2.1")
Beginner/Entry Level (Price $55 - $65) - Mini 9, Mini 8, Mini 7S
Mid/Enthusiast Level ($75 - $110) - Mini 70, Mini 50S, Mini 25
Hi-End/Pro Level ($115) - Mini 90
WIDE (3.4" x 4.3")
Mid/Enthusiast Level ($85) - Wide 300, Wide 210
SQAURE (3.4" x 2.8")
Hi-End/Pro Level ($240) - SQ10
The Mini 9 is powered by two (2) AA batteries which are good for roughly 100 photos (10 packs). This is less then Mini 70 which takes two (2) batteries which last about 300 photos (30 packs). While not a deal breaker for most it is something to consider. AA batteries are more common and cheaper in brick in mortar stores, but the CR2 gives you three (30 times as many photos.
